During the 40 days of Lent Smoke Rise will join with churches of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in listening to the New Testament using free audio Bibles. It is our prayer that through this commitment, SRBC will spend enough quality time with the Bible for it to meaningfully impact our lives. You've Got the Time is a simple concept: hear the entire New Testament in 40 days by listening to the Bible for only 28 minutes a day.
As part of our commitment, Smoke Rise has made a donation to Faith Comes By Hearing, an organization that makes audio Bibles available around the world.
The listening period begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17. Free MP3 discs can be picked up in the upper and lower breezeways on Sundays and Wednesdays beginning Jan. 24. If you don’t have MP3 capability on your computer, CD player, or phone, hand-held players will be available for $20.
Children are included! Portable MP3 players are also available in a children’s version which includes songs that go with the stories.
Come by the stations set up in the upper and lower breezeways on Sundays for technical assistance and with any questions.
