The youth and children’s ministries are beginning an exciting new chapter by welcoming both fifth and sixth graders into this upcoming shared retreat experience. This change was intentionally made to help students feel more connected and supported as they move into the next phase of faith formation at Smoke Rise Baptist Church.

Throughout the retreat, students will work through the Who Am I? curriculum written by our former intern, Kristen Pope Mathis. They will spend intentional time together exploring identity, belonging, and how faith shapes who they are. This experience will be led by our ministers alongside youth leadership, offering meaningful opportunities for students to see their faith lived out in community.

We believe April 17–18 will be a meaningful time of connection and preparation as we begin guiding our fifth graders through their transition into this next season of ministry.
