Music for Everyone

One – on – one music instruction offered to all ages. Instruction in piano, organ, voice, guitar, drums, most all band and orchestra instruments provided by professional musicians with college degrees in performance, or music education and/or certified in their specific area. Lessons are taught in 30, 45 or 60 minute weekly sessions year round. Music is the one study that uses the entire brain! Studies show that participating in music study helps the young develop numerous skills and the adult keep their brain sharp!

Fall lessons begin August 10.

Wednesdays 9:30am – 2:00pm (bring a lunch)

Fall sessions begin August 5. New sessions start every 6 weeks. No experience necessary. You select your subject and the instructor will guide you to create your master piece. Come and find your artistic talent!

Family Music Class

Join the fun in our Family Music classes for the young child and parent / grandparent. Classes offered for babies / toddlers and 2 - 3 year old children.

NEW CLASSES offered this fall include: “Music at Home in the World” for ages 4 and “Around the World” for ages 5.

EXPANDING the Musik Garten offerings this fall, we are excited to offer “Music Makers at the Keyboard”, a piano class for the 6 – 9 year old beginner student. This group setting uses the Musik Garten curriculum and prepares the student for advancement through private lessons.

All the Musik Garten classes are led by Ginger Tankersley, certified in the Musik Garten curriculum. Everyone enjoys Music with Ginger!


 

DANCE - Express Yourself

Everyone loves to dance! Crank up the music and every foot begins to tap the beat, every child begins to wiggle! We start with the very young to develop coordination skills through fun ballet and tap instruction. Building on our successful pre-school class, we are expanding our offerings for the older student!

PRE-TAP / BALLET – ages 3-5

    BALLET – ages 6-9
    YOUNG ADULT JAZZ DANCE – ages 10-13

Creative Drama Class for Pre-school Ages 4-5

ACT ONE is a fun creative hour of drama for the little budding actor in your family. The hour is filled with drama games, singing, dancing, acting out favorite stories, show songs and putting their IMAGINATION on stage!

Keyboard Kids

Small group setting introduces piano playing to the young child. Class time includes piano skills, ear training, theory games and fun times at the keyboard. Parent involvement is expected. (Class size is limited.)
 


Twinkler Violin Class

Ages 4-5


The small group setting introduces the young child to the fun of TWINKLE TWINKLE, LITTLE STAR on the violin! During the class session, the students learn to play this favorite song in various ways. Class time includes learning about the violin, how to play it and take care of it. Music and alphabet games add to the fun of the class time. Students play on Ms. Burcham’s spring student recital! Parent involvement is expected! (Class size is limited.)


FALL DRAMA

 

School aged children enjoy the excitement of on-stage performances of Disney and Broadway, Jr shows. Classes meet from October – March and conclude with an elementary production in February and a middle/high school production in March. Previous productions have included: Jungle Book, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Annie, Shrek, Willy Wonka as well as non-musical mystery theatre dramas. There is no audition to join. Informal auditions will take place to assign parts. EVERYONE IS A STAR!
