It’s been said that if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. I live in this reality every day at the Weekday School. It is a special place, and I personally call it the ‘2nd Happiest Place on earth.’ (We’re coming for you, Disney TM!)
One of my main prayers for the school is, Lord bring us the students You have assigned to us, and the right teachers to fulfill that assignment. Once again, we stand in awe of our great and faithful God answering our prayers. As we begin the 2026 – 2027 school year, enrollment is strong and our staff is in place to give the students everything they need for success. We are grateful for Antwoyn and Pastor Bart for securing the resources needed for our rooms to be painted and rugs to be replaced. We are also thankful for the volunteers who have given their time to make the school shine.
It is our pleasure to serve the families of Smoke Rise and surrounding communities. We lead with our hearts to be a safe and nurturing place that these families can feel secure about. We do all within our power to never turn a family away. During the last school year, we were fortunate to help families that were affected by the government shutdown and some families whose dollars no longer stretched as far as they once did. Our hope is to be able to help as many families that may also need it this school year. We hope that some of you reading this will partner with us and remember the Weekday School in your giving. We appreciate any gifts to our scholarship fund or a general gift that can be used to offset expenses for different yearly activities, for maintaining and improving our Weekday School garden, or for replacing worn out summer camp equipment.
